INJECTION MOULDING

OUR EQUIPMENT FOR YOUR INJECTION MOULDING

WHAT IS INJECTION MOULDING

In plastic injection moulding, molten plastic is injected into the mould cavity of a tool, compressed under pressure, cross-linked or cooled and ejected as a moulded part.
Injection moulding is the most widely used process for the highly automated production of plastic parts by processing powder or granulate. Complex shaped parts of almost any size can be produced. High precision and short cycle times predestine the process for economical series production.

WHAT IS BLOW MOULD

Blow moulding is a process for producing hollow bodies from thermoplastics. A preform is subjected to internal pressure and pressed against the contour of a blow mould, giving it the desired shape.

Blow moulding is a special injection moulding process and has become very important in the plastics processing industry for the production of bottles, containers and other hollow plastic items. The process is characterised above all by the fact that the parts produced have comparatively thin walls. This minimises material usage and costs.

EXTRUSION

OUR DEVICES FOR YOUR EXTRUDER

WHAT IS EXTRUSION

Extrusion is a moulding process that is mainly used for thermoplastics. The plastic is pressed through a moulding opening as a viscous mass under high pressure and temperature.

Extrusion is one of the most widely used processes in the plastics processing industry and, thanks to its far-reaching advantages in terms of efficiency, has become very important, especially in the series production of plastic parts. An extruder, also known as a screw press, is used for extrusion. A basic distinction is made between the single-screw extruder and the twin-screw extruder.

COMPOUNDING

SIMPLEST AND YET MOST EFFECTIVE SOLUTION FOR COLOURING PLASTIC MATERIAL

WHAT IS COMPOUNDING

Compounding comes from the English language and can be roughly translated as composite material. In a special process in the production of plastics called compounding, at least two materials are combined. Depending on the compounding process, this can be either two different plastics or a plastic granulate to which certain additives are added.

Compounding is used in the production of plastics to give the composite material new properties desired by the customer, which the material produced from simple plastic granulate does not have. Only pure plastic granulate and additives are used for compounding.

Compounding is most commonly used for colouring in the production of plastics.
