THE KOCH-TECHNIK DRY AIR TECHNOLOGY
Our dry air dryers dry medium to very large quantities of plastic granulate with deeply dry air to the residual moisture required for processing.
The dry air technology used works in a closed circuit system, completely independent of the ambient climate: Deeply dry, heated air flows through the granulate, absorbs its moisture and releases this in turn to a desiccant.
FASTI KOCH COMPRESSED AIR TECHNOLOGY
Drying hygroscopic granulates with compressed air is the most economical alternative to other drying systems for small throughput quantities.
The special ERD compressed air technology from FASTI KOCH guarantees excellent drying results with low operating costs.

The advantages of the existing and successful dryer concepts CKT & EKO combined in one dryer unit: The dry air dryer type EKO-N
The heat exchanger concept in the pipe system adopted from the EKO dryer has been further improved in the EKO-N series and is used here even more efficiently and successfully. Thermal energy recovery reduces energy consumption by 20 to 30%, depending on the drying temperature of the material. This reduces the average energy consumption while maintaining the same quality.
The EKO-N dryer includes frequency-controlled drying fans and energy-saving dew point control as standard (both from EKON 300F). In addition to the Siemens S7 control system, all EKO-N dryers have a 10.4-inch touch panel display. This allows the user to clearly display all relevant operating states and information and adjust parameters such as drying time, temperature and dwell time at any time. The drying parameters of 28 materials are preconfigured in the material database and a further 212 customer-specific recipes can be saved.
The patented KOCH ECO energy system control for maximum energy savings is available for the EKO-N drying containers, which adapts to the drying process in an energy-saving, material-friendly and intelligent way. The combination of dew point control, ECO system control and frequency-controlled blowers enables energy savings of up to 50% in granulate drying.

In accordance with the modular KOCH building block principle, various drying containers from 40 liters to 1,200 liters can be integrated into the EKO-N. In addition, containers from 1,500 liters are used in the proven CKT design. Another advantage: the modular design of the drying system means that drying containers can be easily extended. Nine different dryer sizes from EKON 110 to 2000 (m³/h) are available.
The drying process is continuously monitored by sensors. Dry air with a dew point of -55°C can be generated to absorb the moisture of the granulate and achieve the required residual moisture of the material to be dried.
The EKO-N is Industry 4.0-compatible thanks to the OPC-UA communication standard and can be fully integrated into the KOCH visualization software.
