What is compounding
Compounding comes from the English language and can be roughly translated as composite material. In a special process in the production of plastics called compounding, at least two materials are combined. Depending on the compounding process, this can be either two different plastics or a plastic granulate to which certain additives are added.
Compounding is used in the production of plastics to give the composite material new properties desired by the customer, which the material produced from simple plastic granulate does not have. Only pure plastic granulate and additives are used for compounding.
Compounding is most commonly used for coloring in the production of plastics.
